Established in 1904, First Baptist Church is a multigenerational congregation, serving the Christian community in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma. For almost a century, FBCBA was located in a downtown location.The church's current location allows for easy access from all over the Tulsa Metropolitan area.
In 2020, Dr. Matt Brooks became the new senior pastor. With the addition of Steve Smith as the new executive pastor, the church has been diligently working to build a world class team to serve the church. FBCBA exists to reach BA & beyond by multiplying disciples to follow Jesus.
FBCBA is committed to biblical preaching, expositional teaching, and life application. There are multiple expressions of vibrant worship at FBCBA. The church uses bands, orchestras, choirs, and vocals to engage people in worship. We also emphasize evangelism, missions, and discipleship. FBCBA is purposefully a multi-generational church and seeks to provide ministry and worship opportunities to both traditional and non-traditional church attenders of all ages and backgrounds.
In 2022, FBCBA will embark on a two-year giving initiative that will include a significant renovation and update to our facilities. The worship center, lobby/atrium, next generation spaces, and offices will all be included in this project. FBCBA has historically remained debt free and we intend to remain that way during this initiative.

About the Role
The Media Pastor/Director is responsible to the church, under the direction of the Executive Pastor, for leading, managing, and directing the broad scope of media production systems, processes, personnel and content creation for worship services, ministries, and special events. While specific skills are essential to the role, the Media Pastor/Director’s focus is at a high level of oversight, leadership, and management of resources, both human and physical, with the goal of producing work at a consistent and high level of quality.
This position will lead the entire tech team. We are seeking someone with a ministry heart, an effective recruiter and developer of volunteers, and proficient with broadcast video.
This role requires a college degree or equivalent educational experience. Also required is 5+ years of related experience with audio and video equipment and design, including event production. Finally, 5+ years of experience leading a healthy media ministry in a medium to large church with a proven track record of team building and delegation through staff and volunteers.
The ideal candidate should be a committed follower of Christ, understand what it takes to manage a successful and healthy media ministry, and have live production experience involving a variety of worship expressions including choirs, orchestras, bands, and vocalists.

Community Preschool Teacher
Position Supports: Community Preschool
Time Commitment: School Year Teacher (18-20 hours/week), Summer Camp Teacher (12 hours/week), or Substitute Teacher (as needed)
Education/Experience: The ideal candidate has some experience working with children.
Qualifications/Skills: The ideal candidate must be a committed follower of Christ. The ideal candidate must work well with others and with good communication skills. The ideal candidate must be able to develop lesson plans to assist children with character development through the use of age-appropriate Bible-based thematic units, as well as concepts in math, writing, music, art, social studies, and science. CPS is always accepting applications for teachers for the school year, Summer Camp, and applications for substitute teachers for both Summer Camp and the school year.
Position Supports: Preschool Ministry
Time Commitment: 20 hours weekly (not guaranteed, but as needed)
Education/Experience: The ideal candidate would have experience in coordinating an organization which would include managing personnel, curriculum, and lesson plans. The ideal candidate would also have knowledge of preschooler’s characteristics and traits.
Qualifications/Skills: The ideal candidate must be a committed follower of Christ and actively attending First Baptist Church Broken Arrow. They will need to have supervisory, organizational and people skills. They will need to be a team player. Computer skills will be necessary for this position.

Time Commitments: As Needed: Wednesday mornings, Wednesday evenings, Special Events
Education/Experience: The ideal candidate has experience with preschoolers and/or school age kids.
Qualifications/Skills: The ideal candidate must be a committed follower of Christ and actively attending First Baptist Church Broken Arrow. They must work well with others and be a team player. A general knowledge of preschoolers, their characteristics, and traits would be desirable. Classroom management and lesson planning would be desirable.
